Bookmaking

I took two bookmaking classes at Craft Studies with Emma Percy in 2022. I now regularly make hardback coptic bound books and simple single signature paperback books. Other than the unique, block printed covers for my paperback books, I purchase the fabric, paper, and thread to make them! Other binding methods come up when I'm making a theatrical prop :)

How I Did It

Coptic Bound Books

Two books side by side with similar covers, both red with a gold lightening bolt in the center. The one on the left is older and the one on the right is newer, based on brightness of the red covers. The one on the left has a name in gold that's hard to read, but the one on the right clearly says "Couch of Eros."
