Mixed Media

Once printmaking or painting collides with another medium, you have mixed media! I would usually consider my bookmaking and bandanas in this category but face it, they deserve categories of their own.

Kalamata Says

A light green rectangular piece of paper with a block print of two orange carrots intertwined in the center. Painted, coming from each, are their stems and leaves in green.

Cuddling Carrots

a square white piece of paper with a sun in the middle. there is an alternating pattern around it - at the 12pm spot is a thistle in gouache, followed by a garlic block print around 2pm, a swirly cloud in gouache, a corn cob in block print with painted kernels, and the pattern is repeated back to 12pm.

Lentil Says

Looking down at a table with the carved two blocks vertically placed. The blocks have been used for printing, so the words (which are backwards and very hard to read) are stained in black while the grey of the blocks themselves shine through in the carved out parts. There are feet at the base of the photo, under the table, for scale.

Newsies Set Stamp

Most of the left side of the print is three blooms of purple flowers that look like puff balls with stars in them. They have green stems, and this greenery of leafs/stems goes over to the right with a couple smaller purple flowers. The background is painted light green. Below the print on the left is a black blob (blacked out signature), with "Star Flowers" in the center, and 3/3 on the far right.

Star Flowers

Most of the print is taken up by a teapot with decorative swirls on it sort of in the shape of a pumpkin - the lid is light green and the rest of orange. The background of the print is painted purple and a skeleton hand comes from the right to hold the teapot handle. Underneath the print is a black blob on the left (the signature blacked out) with "2022," "Skeleton Tea Party II" in the center, with 1/5 on the far right.

Skeleton Tea Party

A rectangular piece of cardboard has "who run the world? girls" written in purple (with "girls" in white) at the top. Below is a block print of a chicken from the neck up looking at the viewer. The print is signed on the left but blacked out, with "pumpkin' written in the middle, and 2/10 on the far right. The print is attached to the cardboard with four multicolored stamps with different chickens on each.
